Q. Which platforms can I drive from?

You can drive from an iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, or desktop Chrome web browser.

Q. Is the video encrypted?

Yes. The Double app uses the WebRTC 128-bit AES encrypted video standard via OpenTok.

Q. How long does the battery last?

A. The internal rechargeable Lithium Ion battery provides up to 8 hours of normal use.

Q. How do I charge the battery and how quickly does it charge?

A. Double recharges to full capacity in about 2 hours with the provided AC to DC wall adapter.

Q. How much does Double weigh?

A. Approximately 15 lbs (7kg), including the weight of the iPad.

Q. How tall or short can I make Double?

A. You can remotely command Double to hold the iPad anywhere between 47" and 60" tall (approximately 120cm to 150cm).

Q. Does Double come with an iPad?

A. No. The user needs to provide his or her own iPad for Double.

Q. Which iPads are supported?

A. iPad 2, iPad (3rd generation), iPad (4th generation), iPad Air, 2017 iPad, and iPad Air 2 are supported. First generation iPads are not supported due to their lack of camera. The Camera Kit requires an iPad with a Lightning connector.

Q. Does Double work over a cellular connection?

A. Yes, Double works great over cellular/4G/LTE, as long as you have decent reception. It's common to use a cellular connection in crowded venues, like conferences and trade shows, where WiFi sometimes doesn't work very well.

Q. Will I be receiving what I see in the video?

A. Changes in production processes may affect the look and feel of the robot before release, but we are striving to make the best product possible.

Q. What is your return policy?

A. We have a 30 day money back guarantee. Conditions for return: (1) Double must be in brand-new condition, including no cosmetic damages (2) Within 30 days of delivery. Shipping is not refundable and the customer pays for shipping a return back to Double HQ. (3) No more than 2 units may be returned for a full refund. Additional units returned will incur a 20% restocking fee. See more about the return policy

Q. Is there a warranty?

Yes! We will cover all repair (and shipping) costs due to manufacturing defects. This coverage excludes normal wear & tear from normal use, and excludes abuse. Note: Double is only meant for indoor use. Shipping costs will only be covered for the country the unit was originally shipped to.

Q: Do you accept purchase orders (P.O.)?

A: Yes, we can accept purchase orders in many cases. Please contact our sales team.

Q: Will you ship to a mail forwarding service?

A: No. We can ship directly to the countries listed on our checkout page or you can buy from one of our distributors in your region.
